Dispatch Switch DLC restores censored breasts, middle fingers

AdHoc released a free HR Violations Pack for Dispatch on Nintendo Switch that reveals previously censored breasts, buttocks and middle-finger gestures; genitals and explicit audio remain blocked.

AdHoc Studios released a free HR Violations Pack DLC for Dispatch on Nintendo Switch today. The pack is available on the Nintendo eShop for both Switch and Switch 2 editions and adds a new “Partial Coverage” option alongside the existing “Full Coverage” setting.

Partial Coverage reveals nude breasts, buttocks and raised-middle-finger gestures that were censored in the Switch launch build. The DLC does not restore genitals or explicit audio; the patch notes state “Genitals and explicit audio are still off limits.” AdHoc’s announcement attributes those limits to Nintendo platform requirements.

The pack will not be distributed in Japan because of regional censorship rules.

For scenes where full frontal nudity or certain audio remain restricted, the DLC offers three visual masking choices: a pixelated “Mosaic” filter, a blackout bar, or a “Chaotic” mode that overlays themed PNGs such as a doughnut, the game logo or a pair of jean shorts. The DLC does not change any audio that Nintendo or regional ratings policy requires to remain muted or removed.

AdHoc explained the Switch release used a single build that complied with Nintendo’s strictest regional rating after the team learned late in development that wider censoring was required. With limited time and resources, the studio chose one compliant build for all markets. The announcement included an apology to players who purchased or pre-ordered based on trailers and other-platform coverage, stating it was “truly sorry” for not making the differences clear. The company added revenue from the Switch release funded the work to produce the less-censored option now offered by the free DLC.

Dispatch launched earlier this year on multiple platforms with differing levels of visual censorship on the Switch build compared with other versions. The HR Violations Pack is available now as a free download on the eShop for both Switch 1 and Switch 2 editions.
