DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations launches July 7

Revelations, an expansion for DOOM: The Dark Ages, arrives July 7 with a new single-player campaign, the Chain Spear weapon and a free Ripatorium 3.0 update.

Revelations, a paid expansion for DOOM: The Dark Ages, will release on July 7 and adds a new single-player campaign, a new weapon called the Chain Spear and a free Ripatorium 3.0 update for existing players.

The expansion continues the Slayer’s story, placing a wounded and betrayed protagonist in a harsh purgatory. The publisher says the campaign sends the Slayer through new levels that include deeper puzzles, additional demons and new mysteries. The narrative features a mysterious ally and an enemy described as an abomination of the gods.

Revelations introduces the Chain Spear, a weapon designed to extend reach while enabling greater movement during combat. The publisher describes the Chain Spear as rewarding player mastery through a mix of power and mobility, offering returning players a distinct combat style and additional mechanical options.

Ripatorium 3.0 arrives free for all DOOM: The Dark Ages players on July 7. The update expands customization for the game’s arena challenge mode with improved pass code generation, personal preset options and more granular settings for arena runs. Players who finish the Revelations campaign will unlock three additional Ripatorium maps, new demons and fully upgraded weapons for use in the arena.

Owners of the DOOM: The Dark Ages Premium Edition and the Collectors Bundle will have access to Revelations at no extra charge at launch. Players who own only the base game can buy the standalone Revelations add-on for $19.99 on July 7 or can upgrade to the Premium Edition, which is available now for $34.99.

DOOM: The Dark Ages and the Revelations expansion are available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Steam, Battle.net and PlayStation 5. The title is playable on Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass, and supports Xbox Play Anywhere for Series X|S and Xbox PC.
