Dozens of PS5 games vanish from PlayStation Portal cloud

Over the weekend, dozens of PS5 games were removed from the PlayStation Portal cloud streaming catalog, and players reported sudden loss of access to titles they expected to stream on the handheld.

Players flagged the removals in online threads. Many customers bought a PS Portal without owning a PS5 specifically to stream purchased PS5 games from Sony’s cloud. Ghost of Yotei has been unavailable to stream for about three days despite its PlayStation Store page listing streaming compatibility with both PS5 and PS Portal. Other reported missing titles include Madden NFL 27, Cities: Skylines, Octopath Traveler 0, Ready or Not and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

Several players who contacted PlayStation Support report receiving a message stating the titles are “no longer part of the PS Portal streaming catalog.” Those responses conflict with storefront listings and users’ prior access.

Sony’s service terms allow the company to add or remove games from the PS Portal library without advance notice. Sony has not issued a public statement clarifying whether the removals were intentional or the result of a platform issue.

For customers who do not own a PS5, the removals mean purchased games that previously streamed to the handheld are temporarily inaccessible unless played on a console. The situation has left users reliant on local hardware if streamed access is unavailable.

Players continue to report disappearing titles and to contact support. There is no confirmed timeline for restoration of the missing games and no public explanation from Sony at this time.
