Dungeon of Dragon Knight Remake Arrives on PS5 Aug. 10

Dungeon of Dragon Knight, originally released on PC in 2019, will be available on the PlayStation Store on Monday, Aug. 10, 2026. The remake was developed independently by Hector Xiang and will launch with a 20% opening discount.

HexGameStudio developed and published the original 2019 release on PC. That edition reached a limited audience. Xiang updated the title for PS5 hardware and prepared a new storefront listing on Sony’s digital store.

Xiang has acknowledged that the original did not sell “explosively” and wrote that the remake is an opportunity to reach more players on modern consoles. He handled the PS5 development as a solo project; the PlayStation Store page lists the game as a digital release and does not mention a physical edition.

The PlayStation Store overview reads: “Step into a forgotten dungeon, where the echoes of ancient wars still linger. The legend of the Dragon Knight lies buried beneath its stones-and so does the Artifact that once kept the darkness at bay.” The listing confirms the Aug. 10 release date and the 20% launch discount but does not specify whether the discount is limited to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

The store page is live now. Beyond the release date and discount, the listing does not provide details on price, technical changes for the PS5 version or plans for other platforms.
