Dynasty Warriors 3 Remaster Set for Oct. 1, 2026

Koei Tecmo America and developer Omega Force announced that Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered will launch worldwide on October 1, 2026. The game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.

The title has been rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5. The engine recreation updates character models, stages and visual effects to match current hardware capabilities.

Omega Force updated core combat systems. The remaster adds a dodge ability, attack deflection and a weapon fusion system that transfers attributes and skills between weapons. The developer reworked customization and crafting so players can combine weapons and adjust loadouts.

The remaster restores a two‑player offline mode with split‑screen co‑op, allowing local play for two users on the same console.

Pre-orders are open now. Koei Tecmo will offer a standard edition and a digital deluxe edition. The digital deluxe package includes the base game, 42 weapons, Six Secret Teachings, a Wind Scroll, a Tiger Amulet, an Officer Concept Art Collection and 42 retro costumes inspired by the original title.

Dynasty Warriors 3 originally launched on PlayStation 2 and is known for large‑scale battles and a broad character roster. Koei Tecmo says the Complete Edition Remastered preserves the core hack‑and‑slash structure while updating mechanics and presentation for current consoles and PC.
