Dynasty Warriors 3 Remaster for Switch 2; Original Switch Pulled

Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force confirmed that Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 1, 2026. The publisher removed the original Nintendo Switch listing and said the remaster is no longer available for purchase on that platform.

The company posted the change on its official social account and included the following notice: “Notice: DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered will no longer be available to purchase on Nintendo Switch. We sincerely apologize for this news and hope you can still experience this release on other platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2.” The release had been delayed earlier in the year before the new date was set.

The Switch 2 edition will include the base game and the Xtreme Legends expansion. Koei Tecmo described graphical and control refinements, new scenarios and features, and local multiplayer options including two-player offline co-op and head-to-head modes.

The remaster’s roster will include more than 40 officers from the original game and will add Ziluan, a protagonist from Dynasty Warriors: Origins. Players who pre-order before September 30, 2026, will receive a “Retro-Style Red Hare Saddle” as a bonus item.

A deluxe edition is planned; the publisher released an overview trailer that outlines the additional contents and features of that edition. Koei Tecmo did not list specific other platforms in the announcement, stating only that players can still experience the release on other systems.
