EA Sports to reveal next College Football game June 4

EA Sports will reveal its next College Football game on June 4; box art features Oregon QB Dante Moore, Miami WR Malachi Toney and Ole Miss RB Kewan Lacy.

EA Sports will hold a reveal event for its next College Football game on Thursday, June 4. The publisher has released the Standard Edition box art, which features Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, Miami wide receiver Malachi Toney and Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy. The title will mark the series’ third year.

The Deluxe Edition box art expands the cast to include coach Curt Cignetti, Texas linebacker Colin Simmons, Notre Dame cornerback Leonard Moore and USC quarterback Jayden Maiava. EA has not disclosed platforms, gameplay details or a release date; those details are expected at the June 4 presentation.

Evan Dexter, EA’s product lead, wrote that players should expect the next game to reflect ‘the modern era of college football more authentically and with more depth for our players than ever before.’ The company is presenting the reveal as an update to its depiction of college football.

Featuring current college athletes on cover art has been a recurring element of the series, and the use of active student-athletes follows changes to licensing and name-image-rights arrangements that permit their inclusion. EA has also announced a new college basketball game as part of an expansion of its collegiate sports lineup.

More information about editions, features, platforms and the release schedule will be provided during EA Sports’ presentation on June 4. Until then, the released box art identifies the cover athletes for the Standard and Deluxe editions.
