EA Sports UFC 6 launches June 19 with Sapien Tech

EA Sports UFC 6 arrives June 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, featuring Sapien Technology, Real-Time Contact ragdoll physics, Markerless Capture and two story modes.

EA Sports confirmed that EA Sports UFC 6 will release June 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The publisher described the game as “the most realistic and authentic fighting experience yet,” and highlighted several technical and mode updates.

The developer said new fighter bodies are built with Sapien Technology. Markerless Capture is used to record player movement without motion markers, which the company said produces more natural locomotion and Signature Strikes. Real-Time Contact combines ragdoll physics with new damage reactions the publisher described as “hurt so good.” EA also noted updated striking and motion systems intended to make fighters move and react with individual styles that affect performance.

Two story-driven modes are part of the launch. Hall of Legends presents the careers and moments of notable UFC fighters. The Legacy lets players create a career path from small venues to major events, emphasizing emotional and competitive pressures during a fighter’s rise.

Pre-orders are available on the Xbox Store. The standard edition is priced at £69.99 / $69.99. Xbox Game Pass members receive a 10% discount through EA Play. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can access a free 10-hour trial beginning June 12. The Ultimate Edition grants early access starting June 12 without the 10-hour time limit.

EA released a trailer with the announcement that shows the updated movement and contact systems and the new modes. The company said the combination of Markerless Capture, Sapien Technology and Real-Time Contact aims to increase authenticity in the Octagon and make individual fighters’ movement and strike patterns more recognizable.
