EA to shut Grid Legends online servers on Sept. 11, 2026

Electronic Arts will shut down the online servers for Grid Legends on Sept. 11, 2026. The change will disable cross-platform play, online multiplayer modes, Quick Race, Dynamic Events, leaderboards and other features that require an internet connection. The single-player campaign and offline modes that do not need a network connection will remain playable.

A notice on the PlayStation Store lists the features that will be disabled on that date. The notice appeared on the game’s PS5 and PS4 storefront pages.

Grid Legends was developed by Codemasters and released in 2022. With the scheduled shutdown, the title will have supported online services for about four and a half years. The notice does not say whether online features might be restored or whether the game will be removed from storefronts after servers go offline.

On PlayStation, Grid Legends holds a Metacritic average of 76/100 for the PS5 edition and a user rating of 4.02 out of 5 on the PlayStation Store based on more than 7,000 verified votes. PlayStation Store ratings are limited to customers who purchased the game.

EA’s notice provides the shutdown date and lists affected features but does not explain the reason for the server closure or outline any refunds or migration options for players. Users who rely on online functions will lose access to those services after Sept. 11, 2026; single-player content will remain available.
