Eight PS Plus Extra games leave May 19; last chance to play
Eight PS Plus Extra titles will be removed from the subscription catalog on May 19, 2026: MotoGP 25; Sand Land; Soul Hackers 2; Mortal Shell (PS4) and Enhanced (PS5); Control; Man of Medan; Little Hope.
Sony will remove eight games from the PS Plus Extra catalog on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Members who want to play these titles through their subscription must do so before that date; after May 19 the games will no longer be available via PS Plus Extra and must be purchased to retain access.
The affected games and platforms are MotoGP 25 (PS5, PS4); Sand Land (PS5, PS4); Soul Hackers 2 (PS5, PS4); Mortal Shell (PS4) and Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition (PS5); Control: Ultimate Edition (PS5); The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan (PS4); and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope (PS5, PS4). Players should check their consoles for installed copies and any required updates before the removal date.
PS Plus Extra maintains a rotating catalog of downloadable PS4 and PS5 games. Titles are added and removed as part of monthly updates to the tier, which sits between the Essential and Premium subscription levels. Sony posts details of lineup changes via its official PlayStation channels ahead of each rotation.
When a title leaves PS Plus Extra it is removed from the subscription library and members lose access through the service unless they buy the game. Purchases made before a game exits remain with the buyer. Any saved progress tied to a player account will still be available if the player later repurchases the title.
Some of the departing games have short campaign lengths that can be completed in a few hours, such as the interactive horror stories Man of Medan and Little Hope. Larger or more time-intensive titles, including Control, Soul Hackers 2, and Sand Land, typically require many more hours of play and are unlikely to be finished in the remaining days before removal.
Members who want to keep playing any of these titles after May 19 will need to buy them from the PlayStation Store. Players who track catalog changes regularly should consult PlayStation’s published lists for upcoming additions and removals.
