EMPULSE launches on Xbox in paid early access June 24

EMPULSE, a Titanfall-inspired 6v6 movement shooter from 1047 Games, arrives in paid early access on Xbox One and Series X|S June 24 for $19.99 with Smart Delivery and Play Anywhere support.

EMPULSE, developed by 1047 Games, will enter paid early access on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on Wednesday, June 24. The game is priced at $19.99 and will carry a launch-week discount that the developer has not specified. EMPULSE supports Xbox Smart Delivery and Xbox Play Anywhere.

The game is a six-versus-six movement shooter that pits pilots against mechs on the streets of Freehold. Players chain mobility actions such as wall-runs, grapple swings and boost-pad launches to outmaneuver opponents. Crews compete to control mechs, which provide a substantial in-match power advantage.

1047 Games is distributing EMPULSE as a paid early access title rather than a free-to-play release. Xbox Play Anywhere means a single digital purchase covers both Xbox consoles and compatible Windows 10/11 installs, and Smart Delivery will deliver the correct console build for a player’s hardware.

A demo for EMPULSE ran as part of Steam Next Fest and remains available through Monday. Player feedback from the demo has been mixed, with comments focused on movement systems and game balance. The studio has invited players to try the demo and plans to use early access to collect feedback and make iterative changes to gameplay, maps and balance.

1047 Games, the studio behind Splitgate, has described EMPULSE as inspired by classic mech-and-pilot shooters and drew on its experience with arena-style competitive play and fast movement when designing the title.
