Summer Game Fest’s 2026 weekend programming included a series of announcements for both Nintendo Switch 1 and Switch 2. Geoff Keighley’s Opening Show and several themed showcases revealed new ports, seasonal updates and indie projects headed to Nintendo platforms.
The Opening Show confirmed several high-profile entries for Switch. Announced titles included Resident Evil Veronica, Cuphead and Alien: Isolation 2. Fortnite introduced Chapter 7 Season 3 with a seasonal mode called Fortnite: Runners, which alters the Island and adds collectible Sprites that players can extract during matches. Armatus was shown with a winter release window and described as a fast-paced combat action game set in the ruins of Paris, where players fight demonic creatures; a trailer line for the game reads, “This is it, Warrior. Wake up.” Other items in the presentation included Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, Pico Park, Attack on Titan 3, Street Fighter 6 — Year 4 content, Final Fantasy VII Revelation and a segment for 007 First Light that referenced “Bawma Will Return.”
Indie-focused Day of the Devs showcased smaller projects headed to Switch platforms. Super Yooka-Laylee Kart was announced, and Trine 6: Together in Time debuted as a co-op puzzle-platformer for one to four players that emphasizes teamwork, timing and puzzle solving.
Regional showcases added more Switch 2 entries. The Southeast Asian Games Showcase revealed TCG Card Shop Simulator, a management sim about running a physical card shop; Nightmare Circus, an action-adventure with momentum-based combat in a Nightmare Realm; and KuloNiku: Bowl Up!, a restaurant-management and cooking game focused on preparing dishes, upgrading a shop and competing in cooking battles.
Some titles received seasonal windows or specific release seasons, while others were shown without dates. Organizers noted that additional coverage and updates would be released after the weekend, and the announced games vary in platform availability and release timing.
