Exstetra PS5 remaster hits PS Store with 20% launch discount

Exstetra’s PS5 remaster is 20% off on the PlayStation Store for PS Plus members of any tier, priced $19.99 through Sept. 16; regular price $24.99.

Furyu’s Exstetra remaster for PlayStation 5 is now available digitally on the PlayStation Store and is offered at 20% off for PS Plus members of any tier through Sept. 16. The discount reduces the launch price from $24.99 to $19.99 and is applied at checkout to eligible accounts.

The digital deluxe edition is discounted at 20%, dropping from $29.99 to $23.99 during the same promotional period. The deluxe package includes an item set and a rune set. Each add-on can be purchased separately for $4.99.

The PS5 release is the first official international launch for Exstetra, which originally debuted in Japan for PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS in 2013. Furyu handled the original release and is credited as the publisher for the remaster. The game is available exclusively in digital form on Sony’s storefront.

The game follows Ryoma, a high school student chosen to become a Prisma tasked with protecting Amejia, a version of Tokyo fused with another world and facing destruction. The game’s plot reads: “During his journey, Ryoma meets future Prisma Knights who share his mission. By awakening their powers with a kiss, he joins them on an adventure to save two worlds.”

The promotional price and deluxe bundle discount end on Sept. 16, after which the title and its premium edition will return to standard prices unless further promotions are announced. The remaster provides a way to play a previously Japan-only RPG on current PS5 hardware without the original Vita or 3DS versions.
