Exstetra Remaster Coming to PC July 30; PS5, Switch Later
Furyu and Studio Saizensen will release a global remaster of 2013 Japan-only RPG Exstetra on PC July 30, 2026; PS5 and Nintendo Switch versions will follow with multi-language support.
Furyu and developer Studio Saizensen are preparing a global remaster of Exstetra, the 2013 role-playing game originally released only in Japan for PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS. The publisher announced the PC version will arrive July 30, 2026; PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch editions are planned for later, with specific dates not yet provided.
Furyu confirmed the remaster will include multiple language options, including English, and that the PC edition is scheduled to be the first release.
Exstetra was developed by Studio Saizensen and is set in Amazea, a version of Tokyo fused with another world. The game’s plot summary reads, “Kiss is the only way to save two worlds destined for ruin.” Players assume the role of a chosen savior called a “Prisma” and engage in battles and story events to prevent the destruction of both worlds.
When Exstetra launched in 2013, localization for English-speaking markets was considered unlikely after inquiries to XSEED. Furyu’s remaster will include broader language support and a worldwide release.
Furyu and Studio Saizensen have not provided details on graphical upgrades, gameplay changes, platform-specific features, or the localization process. The companies indicated they will provide more information, including PS5 and Switch release dates, at a later time.
