Fallout 76 adds Infestations, 4-Star mods and Deathclaw pet
Fallout 76’s free Infestations update adds dozens of hostile holdouts across Appalachia, introduces 4‑Star Legendary weapon and armor mods, and offers a purchasable Deathclaw pet Deluxe Edition.
Bethesda released a free Infestations update for Fallout 76 that is available now across major platforms. The update also launches a new Season, Appalachia Under Siege, which runs alongside the content release.
Infestations place hostile holdouts at dozens of familiar locations across Appalachia. These sites are occupied by groups from various enemy factions and forces. Players who clear the areas can earn higher-tier loot, including newly added 4‑Star Legendary mods for weapons and armor. Encounters are intended as concentrated combat challenges rather than random skirmishes and carry elevated risk of player defeat.
The Fallout 76: Deathclaw Pet Deluxe Edition is a paid offering that provides a domesticated Deathclaw companion for players to display in their C.A.M.P. The Deluxe Edition includes themed furnishings, such as a “Don’t Pet the Deathclaw” sign, and other cosmetic items. The pet is presented as a decorative companion and does not grant gameplay advantages.
Appalachia Under Siege uses the game’s S.C.O.R.E. system to award Tickets that can be exchanged for limited-time items. Seasonal rewards listed by the developer include outdoor C.A.M.P. items, new armor sets, consumables and cosmetics. A community calendar outlines scheduled seasonal events and planned content drops.
The update and the Deluxe Edition are available now on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Fallout 76 is also accessible through Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra subscriptions.
Fallout 76 launched as an online multiplayer entry in the Fallout series and has continued to receive regular updates and seasonal content to add new PvE and PvP activities.
