Fantavision 202X delisted from PS Store and Steam
Fantavision 202X, the 2023 PS5 follow-up to the PS2 puzzle game, was removed from the PlayStation Store and Steam after its license with Sony expired, developer Cosmo Machia wrote.
Fantavision 202X, released for PS5 in 2023, has been removed from the PlayStation Store and Steam after its licensing agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment expired, developer Cosmo Machia wrote on the game’s website.
Storefront listings have been taken down in multiple regions, preventing new purchases on both platforms.
The studio noted the decision to delist rested with Sony, which owns the Fantavision intellectual property.
Players who already purchased Fantavision 202X will retain access through their PS5 libraries. Because the title is single-player, the developer added that ownership and playability for existing customers should not be affected.
Fantavision 202X included PSVR2 support and updated the original 2000 PS2 game’s fireworks-based puzzle gameplay for modern consoles.
Cosmo Machia wrote that physical copies may still be available at some retailers and that the delisting applies only to digital sales.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all customers who have supported Fantavision 202X and ask for your understanding,” the studio wrote.
Fantavision debuted on PlayStation 2 in 2000 and had a following for its fireworks-based puzzles.
