Final Fantasy 7: Revelation will have a single ending - ps5.news

Director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed Revelation will end with one fixed finale; player choices will affect only side content and character moments.

Naoki Hamaguchi, director of Final Fantasy 7: Revelation, confirmed in a recent interview that the game will conclude with a single, fixed ending. Player choices will alter side content and character moments but will not change the core plot.

The development team intends to deliver a definitive conclusion for players who have followed the remake trilogy.

Choices will change elements encountered on the way to that fixed ending rather than create alternate finales or major plot branches. Earlier entries in the remake series included limited variation: side quests could change depending on prior actions, and Rebirth introduced a relationship-style system tied to dialogue choices that influenced interactions and optional content without altering the main storyline.

Hamaguchi said,

“Numerous fans have stayed with us throughout this trilogy, and we intend to provide a definitive conclusion as our answer to them. In that sense, nothing has changed – there is only one ending.” He added, “The choices players make on the journey to that conclusion will affect their individual experiences, as well as the stories told through side content.”

Revelation is the final installment of the multi-part remake of the original Final Fantasy 7. The team confirmed the single narrative conclusion and said player-driven variation will remain confined to optional content and individual playthroughs.
