Final Fantasy VII Rebirth No. 4 on UK Charts for Switch 2

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Rebirth entered the UK physical sales chart at No. 4 in the latest sales week, with GfK reporting 100% of the title’s physical sales on Nintendo’s Switch 2. The Switch 2 release uses a Game-Key Card format.

Rebirth was previously released for PlayStation 5 in 2024. GfK’s chart covers physical retail sales for the defined week and does not include digital storefront figures.

The top three positions that week were 007 First Light at No. 1, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight at No. 2 and Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate at No. 3. The published platform splits for selected multi-platform titles include Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate (PS5 53%, PS4 47%, Switch 0%, Xbox 9%) and Resident Evil Requiem (PS5 47%, Switch 2 37%, PC 12%, Xbox 3%).

Other entries in the top 40 include Pokémon Pokopia in the upper ranks and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book at No. 14. Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Minecraft and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continued to record sales on current platforms. Several multi-platform releases showed sales spread across consoles while some titles recorded most physical sales on a single platform.

The Game-Key Card format provided for Rebirth is a physical card that redeems a digital download rather than supplying a full cartridge. The GfK-compiled chart reflects only physical retail transactions for the reported week.
