Final Fantasy VII Revelation DLC Possible If Fans Demand

Naoki Hamaguchi, a developer on the Final Fantasy VII Remake project, indicated that Square Enix could produce downloadable content for Final Fantasy VII: Revelation if the game performs well and there is clear demand from players.

Hamaguchi acknowledged the team received many requests for DLC after the previous release but prioritized allocating development resources to complete the final entry and make it available to players as soon as possible. The decision focused resources on finishing the trilogy rather than creating add‑on content at that time.

“We received many requests for DLC for ‘FFVII Rebirth’ as well,” Hamaguchi noted. He said the studio would consider additional material if there is significant demand and user requests after Revelation’s release.

Any post‑launch content would depend on how Revelation sells and on continued player interest. Hamaguchi suggested potential add‑ons could expand on story elements not yet shown and could reference material from earlier spin‑off titles, though he did not provide a timeline or specific concepts.

Final Fantasy VII: Revelation is presented as the concluding entry in the remake trilogy. Square Enix will review sales figures and player feedback after the game’s launch before deciding whether to begin additional development.
