First look: Volcano region in PAW Patrol: Dino World

Outright Games and Nickelodeon released a first look at the Volcano region in PAW Patrol: Dino World for Xbox, showing lava flows, collapsing paths, damaged Mahakala nests and a Rex-on-Timmy escape; game launches July 31, 2026.

Outright Games and Nickelodeon released a first-look trailer for the Volcano region in PAW Patrol: Dino World on Xbox ahead of the game’s July 31, 2026 launch. The trailer shows lava flows, unstable ground, damaged construction zones and collapsing paths that affect how players move through the area.

The sequence begins after a collapsed cave passage sends the PAW Patrol into the Volcano region. Players encounter a distressed Mahakala herd and evidence that Mayor Humdinger has interfered with the island, including destroyed nests and a dinosaur attraction under construction.

Gameplay in the Volcano emphasizes exploration, problem solving and teamwork. Early missions have players rebuilding nests to match different dinosaur preferences and guiding the separated herd back together. The storyline includes investigations of the construction site and a rescue mission in which Timmy the T‑Rex becomes trapped. The trailer ends with a cinematic escape through the erupting Volcano in which players take direct control of Rex riding Timmy.

Outright Games wrote that the team aimed to give each region a distinct atmosphere and gameplay style while keeping the experience accessible to younger players. “We wanted to make each region feel distinct, with its own atmosphere, gameplay style, and challenges for players to overcome,” the studio wrote in its first-look remarks about the Volcano.

The full game is presented as a family-friendly open-world adventure featuring the core pups-Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky and Zuma-alongside Rex and Timmy. PAW Patrol: Dino World includes local two-player co-op, vehicle transformation segments, collectible hunts, minigames and a Paleo Center where players learn to care for dinosaurs and decorate enclosures. In-game aids, such as paw prints and help icons, guide younger players through missions.

Outright Games positions the Volcano as one of the later regions in the game, designed to bring together mechanics and challenges introduced earlier on Dino Island. The publisher lists a suggested price of $39.99 for the title.
