Forza Horizon 6 Tops Xbox Game Studios with 273,148 Steam Peak

Forza Horizon 6, developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios, reached a peak of 273,148 concurrent players on Steam on May 19, the game’s full release day, according to SteamDB.

That peak surpassed Halo Infinite’s previous top Steam concurrent count by about 500 players, making Forza Horizon 6 the highest Xbox Game Studios entry on Steam by concurrent users.

The concurrent-player figure records how many users were active on Steam at the same time. The count came during the transition from early access into full release; early access included a $120 edition and drew hundreds of thousands of players on Steam.

At launch the lowest listed price for Forza Horizon 6 was $70, indicating the peak occurred for a paid release rather than a free-to-play title. Halo Infinite’s Steam numbers were supported in part by its free-to-play multiplayer suite.

SteamDB’s Xbox Game Studios concurrent rankings exclude some releases tied to Activision and Bethesda. Earlier Steam debuts for the Call of Duty hub and Bethesda titles such as Fallout 4, Skyrim and Starfield recorded higher concurrent-player peaks when they launched on Steam.
