Forza Horizon 6 Goes Gold: Series X 4K/30, Dynamic 60
Forza Horizon 6 has gone gold. Series X Quality runs native 4K at 30 FPS; Performance targets 4K with dynamic scaling to 60 FPS. Series S Quality 1440p/30, Performance 1080p/60.
Forza Horizon 6 has gone gold ahead of its May 19 release for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. Owners of the Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade get early access starting May 15. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass at launch.
On Xbox Series X, the Quality mode runs at native 4K and 30 frames per second. Performance mode targets 60 FPS with a 4K output that uses dynamic resolution scaling to maintain the frame rate. On Xbox Series S, Quality runs at 1440p and 30 FPS while Performance runs at 1080p and 60 FPS. Each mode adjusts output resolution dynamically to hold its target frame rate.
Playground Games developed Forza Horizon 6 and confirmed the final build has been completed and sent for manufacturing and distribution.
The game includes new accessibility features. Proximity Radar identifies cars in blind spots, AutoDrive lets the CPU handle driving, and High Contrast Mode makes important objects easier to see. Support for American Sign Language and British Sign Language in cutscenes is planned post-launch and will appear as a picture-in-picture interpreter display.
PC technical specifications were published prior to the gold announcement. Forza Horizon 6 will appear on Microsoft’s PC storefronts and follow the same release schedule as the console versions.
Players will be able to choose modes that favor higher resolution or higher frame rates on each console, with dynamic resolution scaling used to meet the stated performance targets.
