Forza Horizon 6: May 19 launch, Premium early access May 15

Forza Horizon 6 launches May 19 on Xbox Series X|S and PC; Premium Edition owners get early access May 15. The game is on PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate day one and requires about 150 GB to download.

Forza Horizon 6 arrives May 19 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Owners of the Premium Edition can begin early access on May 15. Playground Games developed the title and Microsoft is publishing the Xbox versions. The game is set in an open-world version of Japan.

Store listings indicate a midnight local-time rollout for both early access and the standard release. Past Forza releases unlocked at 9 p.m. PT the evening before in Pacific Time. Preloading is available now on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The download requires about 150 GB of storage; players should allow space for additional updates on launch day.

Forza Horizon 6 will be available on day one for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate members. The game will not be included on Game Pass Essential, Game Pass Premium or the Starter tier. Digital purchases support Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing play on both console and PC under a single purchase.

The title will not release natively on Xbox One. Xbox One owners can access the game only through Xbox Cloud Gaming, which requires a stable high-speed internet connection. A PlayStation 5 release is planned for a later date but has not been scheduled for May.

The series continues with open-world racing, car customization and online shared-world events across a large map. Players preparing for launch should confirm their Game Pass tier eligibility and ensure sufficient storage and internet performance for cloud play.
