Forza Horizon 6 launches in Japan on Xbox and PC

Forza Horizon 6 launched on May 19, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S and PC and is included with active Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions. The game is set on a map based on Japan and is available through the Xbox app, Steam and via Xbox Cloud Gaming on supported devices.

Playground Games developed the title. A PlayStation 5 release is scheduled for later in 2026, and the game is available to add to wishlists on the PlayStation Store.

The game features more than 550 cars and a map that mixes urban and rural areas with significant vertical variation. Players start as tourists, qualify for the Horizon Festival, progress through a campaign and complete a Collection Journal that records cars and discoveries. Multiplayer modes include Convoys, Shared World Meetups and Horizon Play for casual racing and drifting.

Three full-game bundles are offered on the Microsoft Store and Steam. Owners of the Standard or Deluxe editions and Game Pass subscribers can purchase a Premium Upgrade to access extra content. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game, a Welcome Pack and a Car Pass. The Premium Edition and the Premium Upgrade add VIP membership, a Welcome Pack, a Car Pass, a Time Attack Car Pack, an Italian Passion Car Pack planned for a later date and two expansions planned for future release. The Premium Upgrade requires the base game or an active Game Pass subscription.

Forza Horizon 6 launches with a Live Program that includes a Festival Playlist unlocked after qualifying for the Horizon Festival and earning a first Wristband. The playlist will rotate weekly events and challenges that award cars and clothing. Series 1 reward cars include the 2008 Mazda Furai. Future updates are scheduled to introduce Evolving World changes for all players and seasonal Car Meets.
