Forza Horizon 6 launches worldwide on Xbox Game Pass today. Playground Games will run Series 1 “Welcome to Japan” from May 21–June 18 with weekly car rewards.

Forza Horizon 6 is available worldwide on Xbox Game Pass today. The Standard Edition launched after a period of paid early access, and Game Pass Ultimate members can play on day one. Developer Playground Games announced Series 1, titled “Welcome to Japan,” which runs May 21–June 18 and will deliver weekly car rewards through the Festival Playlist.

The Festival Playlist follows the franchise’s month-long season format. Players complete objectives in the playlist to earn items and cars. During Series 1, two reward cars will be added to players’ garages each week, with two bonus cars listed for the month by the developer.

Free Season 1 reward cars include the 2008 Mazda Furai, 2010 Nissan 370Z, 1999 Toyota Altezza RS200 Z EDITION, 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR, 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec, 1991 Honda CR-X SiR, 2019 Subaru STI S209, 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37, 1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V and the 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5.

Playground Games outlined a Series History Rewards feature that tracks lifetime Playlist Points and unlocks exclusive cars as players reach specific point thresholds. The developer described the feature as a secondary reward layer tied to accumulated Playlist Points from playing the Festival Playlist.

Paid content options are available. A Time Attack Car Pack can be purchased standalone or included with the Premium Upgrade or Premium Edition. The Car Pass, offered separately or with premium bundles, will deliver weekly cars over 30 weeks. Paid additions for the first month of the Car Pass include the 1990 Nissan #12 Skyline GT-R (BNR32 Gr. A) JTC, the 2024 Koenigsegg Gemera, the 1972 Datsun #269 Attacking the Clock Racing 240Z “All Carbon Hill Climb Beast,” and the 2008 Honda Civic Type R (FD2).

Forza Horizon 6 places players in a Japan-themed open world and continues the series’ Festival Playlist structure. The game records players’ Playlist Points across seasons to determine Series History Rewards and seasonal unlocks.
