Forza Horizon 6 Series 2 patch grants free McLaren Sabre
Series 2 update for Forza Horizon 6 is live on Xbox and PC with AI and Drivatar fixes, Horizon Play XP reductions and Drag Tire physics changes. All players received a 2021 McLaren Sabre after an Eliminator exploit.
Playground Games released the Series 2 update for Forza Horizon 6 on Xbox and PC ahead of Festival Playlist Series 2, which begins June 18. The patch is available now and includes gameplay, progression, tuning and stability fixes.
The update adjusts AI difficulty and fixes Drivatar behaviour at race starts. Developers changed how AI opponents react during events and smoothed race launches to address reports of aggressive and inconsistent opponent behaviour.
Horizon Play progression has been altered by reducing the XP required between Level 26 and Level 100. Players who were already past Level 25 will see immediate level increases. The studio noted players at Level 32 will jump to Level 100, unlock associated badges and receive the Maxed Out achievement. Daily Challenge Points from Series 1 will be retroactively awarded; players must visit Series 1 in their Playlist History to claim them.
Drag Tire physics were modified so those tires no longer provide excessive lateral grip outside drag events while retaining their Performance Index cost. Existing tunes keep the same PI rating but will have reduced cornering performance. Leaderboard entries set using Drag Tires before the patch will be reviewed and removed where necessary. Drag-specific times and Drag Leaderboards are not affected by the change.
The patch also addresses several leaderboard and event issues. Fixes include incorrect drivetrain displays on leaderboards, inconsistent convoy times at Drag Meets and Time Attack Circuits, and problems that allowed some Daily and Weekly Challenges to be completed early or not marked as completed.
Visual and audio fixes are included. The update resolves loading-screen graphical corruption on Xbox Series X|S, a motion blur artefact on a Mitsubishi Lancer model, green artefacts when photographing through mesh, and disabled rain particles on the High graphics preset on PC. Audio performance improvements target lower-spec devices, and the volume of the air vents on the 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV was adjusted.
As compensation following an exploit in The Eliminator, Playground Games granted the 2021 McLaren Sabre to all players. The distribution is confirmed in the patch notes. Players who experienced save data loss are directed to Forza Support resources for help and guidance on reducing the risk of further save issues.
Playground Games applied general performance and stability fixes and said it will continue monitoring leaderboards and player reports to address remaining issues. Festival Playlist Series 2 content arrives on June 18 with the above changes active immediately.
