Forza Horizon 6, Subnautica 2 Lead Steam Sales

Forza Horizon 6 and Subnautica 2 were Steam’s top sellers by revenue for May 5–12 and remained the top premium sellers on May 13 despite day-one Xbox Game Pass launches.

Forza Horizon 6 and Subnautica 2 were the top two best-selling games by revenue on Steam for the week of May 5–12, according to sales data shared by SteamDB. On May 13, Steam’s regional premium top-seller lists for the United States and the United Kingdom still showed those two titles in the first and second positions.

Valve characterizes Steam’s top-sellers lists as curated “by revenue,” meaning the rankings reflect gross revenue for the reporting period rather than raw unit counts.

Both games are scheduled to launch day one on Xbox Game Pass in May 2026, with editions available on console and PC Game Pass. Forza Horizon 6 is a new entry in the racing franchise, and Subnautica 2 is the follow-up to the underwater survival game.

Forza Horizon 6 carries a higher retail price than Subnautica 2. Steam listings show Subnautica 2 priced at less than half the cost of Forza Horizon 6. Despite that price difference, Steam’s revenue ranking placed Subnautica 2 second for the week, reflecting substantial standalone purchases on the platform.

The data from SteamDB and Steam’s revenue-based lists indicate that these titles generated significant revenue on Steam during the reported period even as they prepared to appear on a subscription service at launch. Steam’s curated lists provide a snapshot of revenue for the week rather than a direct measure of total units sold.
