Free Hyperwired demo available now on PS5 and PS4
PS5 and PS4 owners can download a free Hyperwired demo from the PlayStation Store now with no PS Plus required ahead of the game’s planned summer 2026 release.
A free demo of Hyperwired is available now on the PlayStation Store in all regions for PS5 and PS4 players.
PlayStation Premium subscribers can stream the demo via cloud play without downloading; other players can download the demo to their consoles. Because Hyperwired is single-player, no PS Plus online subscription is required.
Hyperwired is a top-down roguelike shooter that uses procedural generation to create its levels. Encounters combine dense bullet patterns and large boss fights while players manage a limited energy reserve.
A central mechanic requires ships to plug into power sockets to recharge weapons and systems. Publishers Selecta Play and Entalto Publishing describe the game as a “tethered” shooter in their materials.
The official overview reads: “Space has plunged into darkness. You are the last spark.” The demo showcases the loop of dodging fire, connecting to power sources and advancing through changing sectors.
The game is being built with GameMaker and is scheduled to launch globally in summer 2026. Platforms listed by the publishers include PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC. No firm release date has been announced.
The demo gives players an early look at the core systems ahead of the wider launch. A trailer is available on the PlayStation Store page for the demo. Publishers and developers plan to provide updates as the launch window approaches.
