Free PS5 demo available for Sega’s 2026 RPG
Stupid Never Dies’ free PS5 demo is on the PlayStation Store, offers about two hours of play and lets players carry save data into the full release on Oct. 21, 2026.
Sega has released a free demo of Stupid Never Dies on the PlayStation Store for PS5. The demo covers roughly the first two hours of gameplay, including the opening story, an introductory cutscene and the game’s Blazing Fast Growth mechanics. Players who download the demo can carry their save data into the full release, scheduled for Oct. 21, 2026 on PS5 and PC.
The game is being developed by GPTACK50, a studio formed by veteran action-game developers, including former Capcom staff. Sega is publishing the title.
Stupid Never Dies is a 3D action role-playing game in which players control Davy, a low-ranking zombie who fights through dungeons, consumes enemies and steals powers to grow stronger. The demo lets players sample the opening dungeon and early combat systems that shape character progression.
Progression in the game is tied to devouring the cores of elite monsters to gain new abilities. The developer lists examples such as Werewolf, Vampire and Harpy forms. Combat combines ability-based actions and combo sequences, and the protagonist has a special burst move called Davy Burst that temporarily increases stats.
The developer’s official description reads: “A world in ruins, where monsters hold sway and humanity teeters on the brink of extinction. Davy, zombie and wuss supreme, falls in love at first sight when he chances upon Julia, a woman who met an icy end in a freezer. In order to thaw out his babe-sicle, Davy will need to eat KOM (King of Monsters) in the deepest depths of the dungeon and reclaim all the stolen knowledge of the human race.”
The demo provides a roughly two-hour opportunity to test different builds and experiment with early systems before the full release on Oct. 21, 2026.
