Front Mission 1st: Remake on PlayStation Store for $3.49

Square Enix’s Front Mission 1st: Remake is on sale for $3.49 on the PlayStation Store through Aug. 27, 2026. The discount is 90% off the game’s usual $34.99 digital price and applies to both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions. The sale ends on Aug. 27, after which the title will return to $34.99.

The remake is published by Square Enix and developed in collaboration with Forever Entertainment. The promotion is a limited-time offer on Sony’s digital storefront and does not apply to physical copies.

Front Mission 1st: Remake is a tactical, turn-based role-playing game in which players command large military machines called Wanzers. The game’s narrative is set in 2090 on Huffman Island and follows conflicts between the Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.) and the Unified Continental States (U.C.S.). Players can play through both factions’ campaigns; one central character is Captain Royd Clive, who searches for a missing lieutenant while uncovering wartime information.

The remake updates the 1995 original with fully overhauled 3D graphics and reworked gameplay mechanics for modern consoles. Players can choose Modern or Classic gameplay modes, select from multiple difficulty settings, and customize Wanzers and pilots. PlayStation users receive additional in-game items, including a free camera feature and a new tactical map.

Audio and content changes include the option to switch between the original soundtrack and a remastered, newly orchestrated score. The release adds new single-player scenarios, a local multiplayer mode, six new maps, new mercenaries and a commander character.

On the PlayStation Store the game has a 4.17 out of 5 rating based on 594 user reviews. The current sale provides a short window for players to purchase the digital version at the reduced price before it returns to $34.99 on Aug. 28, 2026.
