OSome Studio announced Garfield: Escape from Monday, a 3D platformer set in Garfield’s dreams, will launch on Xbox Series X and Series S and other platforms on Sept. 24, 2026.
OSome Studio announced that Garfield: Escape from Monday will launch on Xbox Series X and Series S on Sept. 24, 2026, with releases on additional platforms planned for later.
The game is being developed by OSome Studio, the team behind recent Smurfs titles and several Asterix & Obelix adaptations.
In Garfield: Escape from Monday players guide Garfield through dreamscapes after he falls into a deep sleep following a spinach lasagna based on Chef Monday’s recipe. The objective is to wake Garfield and reactivate his taste buds by moving through three worlds and dozens of levels, confronting enemies and collecting large lasagnas to progress.
Garfield will receive help from Jon and supporting characters Odie, Arlene and Pookie. The cat can equip themed suits, including turkey, surfer and cowboy outfits, each providing different abilities.
Early images released by the studio show a colorful 3D art style with a visual tone similar to early 2000s console games. An initial promotional post on social platforms gathered about 1,000 likes and nearly 100,000 views within an hour.
OSome Studio has confirmed the Sept. 24 Xbox release but has not disclosed pricing, edition details or the full list of platforms. The developer said it will release further platform and distribution information in the coming months.
