Gate Zero coming to PS5, set in first-century Judea
Templar Media showcased Gate Zero at Gamescom 2026: a semi-open-world action-adventure set in first-century Judea and Galilee, confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Templar Media presented Gate Zero at Gamescom 2026. The studio describes the game as a semi-open-world, story-rich action-adventure set in first-century Judea and Galilee. It is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with no release date announced.
The game frames its events around a mysterious time machine in the year 2072. The player controls Max, a young scavenger who is forced into ancient Israel while fleeing an authoritarian group called UniFi. The character’s main goal is to find a way back to his own time.
A combat reveal trailer shown at Gamescom focused on encounters in crowded urban areas and marketplaces. The footage suggested melee and stealth interactions and showed how the environment and non-player characters may affect combat. Templar Media has not released a full breakdown of gameplay mechanics or confirmed camera perspective and control schemes.
The studio provided this official overview: “When young scavenger Max accidentally activates a mysterious time machine while fleeing authoritarian regime UniFi, he is thrust into ancient Israel at the time of Jesus. As Max searches for a way home, he experiences a buried history only whispered about in his future. Explore ancient cities, bustling marketplaces, and historic locations. Meet legendary biblical figures, witness pivotal moments firsthand, and uncover the extraordinary lengths UniFi will go to in order to rewrite history.”
Gate Zero’s PlayStation Store page is live and allows players to add the game to their wishlist. The page does not list a release window, price, editions, pre-order details or platform-exclusive content. Templar Media has provided limited technical and gameplay details so far and has indicated further information will follow as promotion continues.
