Genshin Impact Luna VII adds Nicole Reeyn as first Hexenzirkel

Version Luna VII, releasing May 20, adds Nicole Reeyn as the first playable Hexenzirkel member and introduces two more characters plus new Sumeru and Inazuma content.

The developer announced Version Luna VII will go live on May 20 and will add Nicole Reeyn as the first playable member of the Hexenzirkel. The update also brings two new characters, a return to Sumeru with a new Archon quest, a limited Inazuma event and multiple quality-of-life changes.

Nicole Reeyn appears as a five-star Pyro catalyst user who provides shields and team attack bonuses. Her Elemental Skill creates a shield that deals area Pyro damage and grants nearby party members an ATK bonus based on her own attack; that ATK bonus increases when the active character is a Hexerei character. Her Elemental Burst summons an Arcane Projection that periodically performs coordinated attacks dealing elemental damage tied to the active character’s element, with stronger effects if the active character is Hexerei. Outside combat, her charged attack can summon nearby Seelie to act as a field guide. Completing her story quest opens a Witch’s Lodge area where players can find items and surprises.

Lohen is a five-star Cryo polearm wielder and vice captain of the Knights of Favonius’ Fifth Company. His kit uses two resources called Joy and Will to Win. Entering a special state via his Elemental Skill lets his normal and charged attacks generate Joy when they hit, while damage dealt by nearby teammates builds Will to Win. Spending Joy triggers a modified Elemental Skill and consuming Will to Win increases that skill’s damage and boosts his Elemental Burst. After unlocking a Hexerei: Secret Rite effect, his attacks can sometimes deal additional damage based on accumulated Will to Win. His Story Quest will provide more background on his role in the Knights.

Prune is a four-star Anemo catalyst character described as a Witch Hunter. She deals off-field Anemo damage and raises teammates’ overall damage output. In the event wishes, Nicole and Prune appear in the first banner half alongside a Durin rerun, while Lohen will appear in the second half with a Mavuika rerun.

The update returns the Traveler to Sumeru for a new Archon storyline that introduces a boss resembling The Doctor, which teleports and summons powerful allies in combat. To help players follow the story, the Quest Overview gains a Guiding Notes section that records key details and character backgrounds, and Archon Quests now include save prompts so players can pause and resume later. Completing the new Archon quest grants 560 Primogems and Nicole’s Ascension materials.

A limited-time Inazuma event centers on a gathering of little witches and pairs Klee, Sayu and newcomer Prune. The event features a Dodoco-themed bomb passing challenge, an obstacle race called Gena’s Great Escape, a radish collection challenge for Yuegui, and a combat showcase titled Fantasy Realm Performance. Event rewards include an exclusive weapon appearance named Super Awesome Magic Key.

Other additions in Version Luna VII include Echo Cosmetics for Navia and Wanderer, a new album titled Hexerei: Ballad of Whimsical Polyphony, score themes for Durin and Varka available through the Repertoire of Myriad Melodies, and updates to Miliastra Wonderland. New events will offer Primogems and other rewards, a sports festival will introduce new competitive activities, and Manekin characters can perform a wider range of actions for photography opportunities.
