Ghost of Tsushima’s Jin Sakai Joins Ghost of Yōtei Mode
At PlayStation’s State of Play on Sept. 3, Sucker Punch confirmed Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima is playable in Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted’s new survival roguelike on PS5.
Sucker Punch Productions confirmed at PlayStation’s State of Play on Sept. 3 that Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima is a playable character in Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted’s new survival roguelike mode. The character appears in the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition on PlayStation 5.
Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted is a single-player combat mode that places players into roguelike runs. Players choose from four characters, accept escalating bounties and collect perks and upgrades to build and strengthen characters over repeated runs.
Jin Sakai retains his four katana stances in the mode: Stone, Water, Wind and Moon. His base combat kit carries over from Ghost of Tsushima with some adjustments for the roguelike ruleset. In the mode Jin starts with a Sticky Bomb and the Hankyu weapon. His ultimate ability, Dance of Wrath, targets multiple enemies and disarms them. His Kill Streak special is Ghost Stance, an ability that terrorizes nearby enemies and allows the player to finish a limited number with a single strike.
Other playable characters in Most Wanted include Atsu, Oyuki and Nagato, each with distinct abilities and ultimates. Players choose perks that modify weapon mastery, gear loadouts, summons, parries and survivability. Bounties grow harder as runs progress, and players must decide between permanent and temporary upgrades while adapting builds to new challenges.
Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted and the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition that includes the new survival mode are available on the PlayStation Store for $69.99.
