Glover Switch to add PlayStation build in free update

QUByte will add the original PlayStation version of Glover to the 2025 Nintendo Switch release as a no-cost update, the studio announced during its Retro Games Showcase.

QUByte announced during its Retro Games Showcase that the 2025 Nintendo Switch release of Glover will receive a free update adding the original PlayStation version. Switch owners will be able to access the PlayStation build alongside the current modern port.

The studio added that the Street Racer Collection will receive a similar free update to include its PlayStation edition. QUByte did not provide a firm date for either update, only that they are planned for a future release.

Glover first launched on the Nintendo 64 in 1998 and on PlayStation in 1999. The title is a third-person platformer in which the player controls a sentient glove and a magic ball to solve puzzles, traverse stages and confront enemies.

QUByte described the updates as part of its retro releases program, which supplies alternate historical builds to owners of modern ports. The company has not provided pricing details or explained how players will switch between the modern port and the PlayStation build on the Switch.

Earlier updates for Glover were issued last year. No technical specifications, performance information or exact release windows were announced for the incoming PlayStation builds.
