Good-Feel Confirmed as Developer of New Yoshi Game
Good-Feel is the developer of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, the studio behind Wario Land: Shake It! and previous Yoshi titles including Yoshi’s Woolly World.
Good-Feel has been confirmed as the developer of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. The studio is known for Wario Land: Shake It! (2008) and the Yoshi games Yoshi’s Woolly World and Yoshi’s Crafted World, and it has worked with Nintendo since 2008.
Nintendo’s promotional materials did not name the developer, but development credit has been attributed to Good-Feel. The game is set to reach stores in a few days.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book mixes exploration and creature-collection mechanics tied to a mysterious tome. Early reviews note moments of charm alongside limits to its structure; one review awarded a 6/10 and wrote, “There’s a lot of fun to be had in discovering the many creatures hidden within Mr. E’s pages, though it suffers from a repetitive structure that doesn’t evolve or provide any sense of meaningful challenge.”
The game’s visual style emphasizes handcrafted textile and yarn motifs similar to Good-Feel’s earlier Yoshi projects. The studio produced a 3DS port, Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World, and its yarn-focused aesthetic has been a recurring feature of its platformers.
The confirmation of Good-Feel clarifies developer credit ahead of the game’s release.
