Gran Turismo 7 PS5 update adds four cars, three circuits

Polyphony Digital released update 1.71 for Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 5 today. The free patch adds four cars, three World Circuits and Whistler as a featured Scapes curation. The update is available now for PS5 owners.

Two classic Japanese sedans join the Used Cars roster: the 1997 Toyota Chaser Tourer V and the 1997 Toyota Mark II Tourer V. Two models are available from Brand Central: the 2008 Caterham Seven Superlight R500 and the 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6 N.

The developer groups the new cars into four categories. The Chaser Tourer V appears under Street Icon and is noted for its stance and ties to tuner and drifting culture. The Mark II is listed as a Sleeper Pick; the official blog says the Mark II “carries quiet confidence.” The Caterham is filed as a Pure Driver, described as lightweight and highly responsive to driver inputs. The Hyundai IONIQ 6 N is placed in the Next Gen Performance category and is presented as a modern entry in the game’s electric and high-performance lineup.

Update 1.71 adds three World Circuits to the game’s track selection. Whistler has been added to the Scapes featured curation, providing new locations for the game’s photography mode.

Gran Turismo 7 launched in 2022. Polyphony Digital has released multiple free updates for the game since launch that expand the car list and track options. The 1.71 patch is live now and can be downloaded by PlayStation 5 players.
