Granblue Fantasy: Relink — Endless Ragnarok arrives on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on July 9. A playable demo of the base Relink game is available now on the PlayStation Store.

Endless Ragnarok adds a new story arc, six playable characters, a Summon battle mechanic, a top difficulty called Chaos, a Master Trait progression tree, and a solo endgame mode named the Conflux. The six new characters are Gallanza, Maglielle, Beatrix, Eustace, Fraux and Fediel. New boss encounters include Beelzebub and The World.

Players earn summons through the narrative and equip them to receive passive bonuses. When a summon is called into battle, the player takes direct control of the summon and the player character becomes immune to damage for the summon duration. Summons perform roles such as direct damage, crowd control and support.

The expansion links the Summon mechanic to Primal Burst. When a party completes a full chain of Skybound Arts under certain conditions, Lyria can trigger a follow-up attack via a summon, increasing damage and visual effects.

Chaos difficulty is available immediately when players begin the Endless Ragnarok opening quest; the opening mission runs on Chaos by default. Enemies in this tier include ragnalia, and bosses use an EX Burst attack. An enemy preparing an EX Burst displays a purple aura; players must read those cues, time dodges and apply counters within the game’s combat framework.

Hands-on testing examined the summons Furycane and Managarmr. Furycane uses a large portion of the summon gauge and performs rapid slashes and tornado combos for burst damage. Managarmr moves more deliberately and ends its duration with a blizzard that applies the Glaciate status, which freezes enemies and creates a window for crowd control. Equipping summons also grants passive stat bonuses and skill effects when not active.

Gallanza is a heavy frontliner who wields a spear-axe with long reach and slower, powerful attacks for breaking defenses. Beatrix requires active management of self-buffs that shift between offensive, defensive and recovery modes, demanding fast decision-making to cycle her effects.

The Conflux is a single-player endgame mode made up of sequential zones with specific objectives. After clearing a zone objective, players select one of three temporary perks that last for that run. Objectives and perk options change each run, and the mode awards rare materials and high-tier equipment for solo progression without multiplayer matchmaking. The Master Trait progression tree expands options for long-term character development.

Developers presented the expansion at a recent press event and provided hands-on sessions to test summons and new characters. Endless Ragnarok launches July 9 on PS5 and PS4 and the playable demo is available now on the PlayStation Store.
