Gravity Circuit sequel headed to PS5 in 2027 with two heroes

Domesticated Ant Games will release a Gravity Circuit sequel on PS5 in 2027, featuring two playable protagonists: Kai (close-quarters) and Cable (long-range).

Domesticated Ant Games announced a sequel to Gravity Circuit for PlayStation 5, scheduled for 2027. The Finnish studio said the game will return to retro side-scrolling action platforming while expanding core mechanics and offering two playable protagonists.

Players can choose Kai for a close-quarters approach or Cable for a long-range playstyle. Kai relies on fast melee attacks, hookshot-based grapples and high speed to close distance. Cable uses ranged attacks, chains multiple jumps to stay airborne, and has powers that convert defeated enemies into scrap that can be used as ammunition.

The studio described progression that awards boosters and modifiers from bosses, allowing players to customize and refine loadouts as they advance through the game.

An announcement trailer and a press statement accompanied the reveal. The developer has not released further gameplay footage, confirmed platforms beyond PS5, or provided details on multiplayer or difficulty settings.

No specific release date beyond the 2027 window has been given. The developer indicated additional information will be shared closer to launch.

The original Gravity Circuit holds an 89 Metacritic score for PC and remains available on the PlayStation Store. The original title has been offered at discounts for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

In its press material, the studio described Kai as having “fierce punches, hookshot-based grapples, and plenty of speed” and Cable as able to “pepper your enemies from a distance” and to “turn defeated foes into scrap that you can use as ammunition.”
