GTA 6 adds jet skis, mini golf and base jumping

Rockstar confirmed Grand Theft Auto VI will offer a wide range of side activities, including jet skiing, mini golf, billiards, base jumping, kayaking, scuba diving and airboating. Some activities can influence the relationship between the game’s two protagonists, Jason and Lucia.

Rockstar added players will be able to work out at gyms, visit zoos and take part in street and off-road racing. The game’s open world, set on the map of Leonida, includes additional side quests and optional content that players can discover while exploring.

The developer noted participation in certain activities can alter character interactions and may carry narrative consequences beyond simple rewards or cosmetic items. Choices made during side activities are expected to affect events in later chapters.

The game is organized into chapters to manage pacing and progression. Rob Nelson, co-studio head of Rockstar North, commented: “The game is set over chapters, which also help us figure out how the game is going to move.”

GTA VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar estimates the main campaign and optional content will take about 80 hours to complete. No PC or older-console versions have been announced.
