GTA 6 Set for Nov. 19, 2026; Marketing to Start in Summer

Rockstar and Take-Two confirmed Grand Theft Auto VI will launch Nov. 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; marketing will begin in summer, CEO Strauss Zelnick said.

Rockstar Games and parent company Take-Two Interactive reaffirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick said Rockstar plans to begin marketing the game in the summer.

Zelnick made the comments during Take-Two’s recent earnings discussions. He said marketing will not start immediately and repeated that the company expects promotional activity to begin once the summer season arrives: “So the next few weeks I don’t think it’ll be summertime yet, but when it’s summertime, Rockstar expects to start marketing GTA 6.”

Executives did not provide new details on game content, pricing, pre-order options or release-region differences. No dates were given for additional trailers, pre-orders or multiplayer information.

The remarks followed online speculation about a third trailer and early pre-orders. A retailer affiliate email suggesting pre-orders circulated online but did not lead to live pre-order listings. Zelnick said he did not know the source of that retailer email.

Take-Two’s public timeline leaves the November release date and a summer marketing window as the main milestones disclosed so far. The company has said further announcements will be scheduled by Rockstar in the coming months.
