GTA V 67% off on PlayStation Store through July 2

Grand Theft Auto V is on sale at 67% off on the PlayStation Store, reduced to $19.79 for both PS5 and PS4 (cross-buy) through July 2. The discount cuts the game’s regular $59.99 price as the series prepares for the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on Nov. 19.

The discounted price applies to the PS Store listings for both console versions and reflects the temporary sale period. Purchasing the game grants access to both PS5 and PS4 versions through cross-buy. The title is also available in PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs at the moment, but subscription catalogs can change, so purchase is the only way to guarantee ongoing ownership if the game is removed.

Rockstar Games does not frequently offer deep discounts on its major releases, and some of its titles have been rotated out of PlayStation subscription catalogs in recent months. The sale package includes Grand Theft Auto Online; however, playing GTA Online on consoles requires an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

Preorders for Grand Theft Auto VI are available now on the PlayStation Store with a release date set for Nov. 19. The current GTA V sale provides an opportunity for new and returning players to buy the single-player game and the online component at a reduced price ahead of the sequel’s launch.

GTA V’s single-player story follows three protagonists-a young street hustler, a retired bank robber and an unstable criminal-whose lives intersect as they plan and carry out large-scale heists while dealing with rival criminals, government agents and figures in the entertainment industry. The PlayStation package bundles the single-player campaign with access to GTA Online, the game’s ongoing multiplayer mode.
