GTA VI trailer shows cover art; pre-orders start June 25

Rockstar released a new trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI that reveals the game’s official cover art but includes no gameplay footage. The company confirmed pre-orders will open on June 25, 2026, and the retail release remains scheduled for November 19, 2026.

The brief trailer centers on the cover illustration and provides the first official look at the artwork. The image follows the franchise’s long-running style by pairing portraits of main characters with small scenes and locations from the game world. The clip contains no in-game action or gameplay preview.

GTA VI returns the series to Vice City and follows a criminal couple, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar describes the pair as on the run after a failed bank robbery, with the story following both characters across the city and surrounding areas. The cover art shows the two leads alongside visual elements meant to evoke the setting and tone.

Development on Grand Theft Auto VI began in preliminary form in 2014 and has proceeded through several cycles and schedule changes. The project was previously targeted for 2025 before later delays. Rockstar has not published a detailed development timeline beyond the announced pre-order and launch dates.

Rockstar has not announced special, deluxe or collector’s editions, and no pre-order incentives or final packaging details have been disclosed. With pre-orders set to open in late June, additional information about editions and retail options may be released before the November launch.
