Hades II Hotfix 3 Live on PC, Switch Release TBA
Supergiant released Hotfix 3 for Hades II on PC; the studio confirmed the same fixes will roll out to Switch 1 and 2 later. Steam notes list gameplay, visual and crash fixes.
Supergiant Games has released Hotfix 3 for Hades II on PC via Steam. The developer posted that the same fixes will be applied to console builds, including Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, at a later date. The patch focuses on a wide range of bug fixes across gameplay, visuals, audio and stability.
The update addresses Dream Dive and Hearth-style reward issues. Shrine of Hermes items now arrive before final encounters when required. The patch fixes cases that could grant duplicate Boons of Hades after equipping certain Keepsakes and restores rewards missed by effects such as Quick Buck. The studio also added a death animation for the Hellifish and an inventory hint to show where Mystery Seeds can be found.
Several fixes target narrative, voice and event timing. The update resolves instances where voice lines or story events did not play as expected and corrects cases where characters such as Hecate, Medea and Dora appeared or offered interactions at incorrect times. Descriptive text for Apollo’s Prominence Flare was clarified and visual feedback on the Path of Stars upgrade screen was improved.
The patch corrects many interactions between Boons, Daedalus upgrades, Aspects and Arcana. Examples include adjustments for Hermes’ Nitro Boost affecting Sprint with the Black Coat, fixes for interactions between Sorceress Arcana and Sudden Flurry, and compatibility fixes involving Glorious Disaster, Explosive Intent and several other ability combinations. Changes also address Omega move availability under Dark Side and ensure Soulfilled Ankh increases Omega attack area as intended.
Combat stability and encounter behavior received multiple fixes. The update adjusts boss behavior in fights such as Unrivaled Typhon and Unrivaled Cerberus, prevents Wolf Howl from placing players out of bounds during the surface finale, and stops foes from wandering out of bounds in certain Oceanus and Tartarus locations. Other corrections cover damage and status interactions, including Gale blocking Poison damage unexpectedly and Melinoë’s Olympic Slam interacting improperly with shielded enemies.
Visual and user interface issues were corrected. The patch removes duplicated Shiny Stars in the Inventory, clears visual FX that persisted during Melinoë’s Return to Shadow sequence, restores the Zoom In setting after entering Chaos Trials, and fixes damage numbers remaining visible after toggling the display off. The update also fixes shop and Cauldron accounting errors, training-ground weapon-switch bugs that left effects active, minor collision problems across locations and several text errors.
Supergiant reports additional rare crashes were fixed in Hotfix 3. The studio did not provide a specific date for the Switch 1 and 2 rollouts; players on consoles should receive the same fixes when those builds are updated.
