Halloween: The Game earns 4.34/5 on PlayStation Store
Released yesterday, Halloween: The Game for PS5 scored 4.34/5 on the PlayStation Store from nearly 3,000 votes in 24 hours.
Released yesterday, Illfonic’s Halloween: The Game for PS5 recorded a 4.34 out of 5 player rating on the PlayStation Store based on nearly 3,000 votes within 24 hours. The standard edition is listed at $39.99.
Illfonic developed the title and applied its asymmetrical survival-horror approach used in earlier releases such as Friday the 13th: The Game and Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed. The PS5 version offers single-player and multiplayer modes and places action in a sandbox environment that combines stealth and survival mechanics.
Matches center on 1v4 asymmetrical play set in Haddonfield. One player controls Michael Myers while four hero players try to warn residents and help them escape. Hero players can use household items, weapons and knowledge of the map to evade or confront the killer; the match design emphasizes stealth, cooperation and survival tactics.
On PC the title holds a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam based on more than 5,000 votes. At launch, professional reviews for the PS5 version were limited, so player ratings on storefronts are the most visible public feedback so far.
Illfonic’s description of the game highlights its 1v4 structure and the focus on stealth and cooperative play. Further reviews and longer player impressions are likely to appear in the days following release as more critics and players publish assessments.
