Halo: Campaign Evolved launches July 28 with new missions

Halo: Campaign Evolved launches July 28, 2026. Pre-orders are open. The remaster adds a three-mission arc, Operation: METEORITE. Premium and Collector’s Editions include early access from July 23.

Halo: Campaign Evolved will launch worldwide on July 28, 2026, with pre-orders available now. Premium and Collector’s Edition buyers receive up to five days of early access beginning July 23. The remaster will release on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Steam, PlayStation 5 and cloud platforms, and will be available day one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

The release includes a full remake of the original 10-mission Halo: Combat Evolved campaign plus a new three-mission story arc called Operation: METEORITE. The arc is set one year before the events of the original game and follows Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson on a clandestine UNSC strike aboard a Covenant research vessel. The missions add new locations, enemy variants such as a Brute Berserker, additional weapons from across the Halo series and sequences that include combat in space. Author Troy Denning contributed to the story development.

All editions contain the core campaign and Operation: METEORITE. The game supports cross-play and cross-progression across Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Steam and PlayStation 5. Xbox Play Anywhere will let players who buy the Xbox version play on both console and PC at no extra cost.

The Standard Edition is priced at $49.99/£49.99/€59.99 and includes the full game and Operation: METEORITE. The Premium Edition is $69.99/£69.99/€79.99 and adds up to five days of early access starting July 23, the Alpha Halo Armory Pack and a Digital Story & Art Collection. The Collector’s Edition is listed at $199.99/€199.99 and bundles Premium content with a 12-inch Dark Horse Master Chief statue, an LED Cortana chip, a SteelBook, three concept art prints, a physical reimagined game manual and a game disc for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5; the Steam Collector’s Edition will include a code instead of a disc.

Players who pre-order any edition receive the Foundry Armory Pack, which includes the Classic 2001 Mark V armor skin, the Classic 2001 Assault Rifle skin and Gilded Onyx armor and weapon styles. The Alpha Halo Armory Pack included with Premium editions contains five Master Chief armor skins and six weapon skins. The Digital Story & Art Collection contains a short story titled Halo: Hungry Buzzards by Troy Denning, a digital artbook and a digital manual inspired by the original 2001 game manual.

Launch timing is July 28, 2026 at 8 a.m. PDT, with the release on July 29 in Japan and select Asia-Pacific markets. Early access for Premium and Collector’s Edition purchasers begins July 23 at 8 a.m. PDT and follows the same regional time shift for Japan and select Asia-Pacific territories. Pre-orders are available on Xbox, Steam and PlayStation; the Collector’s Edition can be ordered through HaloWaypoint.
