Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea hits Switch 2 Sept. 24

Natsume will release Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea, the series’ first Switch 2 and open-world entry, on Sept. 24, 2026; pre-orders for Switch and Switch 2 are open.

Natsume will release Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea on Sept. 24, 2026, for both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Pre-orders are available on Natsume’s official website. The Switch 2 edition is listed at $59.99 and the Switch 1 edition at $49.99. All pre-orders include a wolf plush as a bonus.

Echoes of Teradea is an open-world entry in the Harvest Moon series. The developer describes a large map that includes caves, remote islands, towns and distinct regions where players can farm, mine and explore. The game lists improved visuals and a number of systems designed to support extended exploration.

The game introduces an animal companion system. Players can travel with animals that provide abilities used to traverse terrain, break obstacles and locate treasures. These companion abilities are integrated with the environment and required to reach some areas.

Player movement has been expanded. Characters can jump, climb ladders and scale vines. The developer notes that combining these movement options with companion abilities will be necessary to access many hidden locations.

Echoes of Teradea includes campsites where players can rest, recover stamina and cook. The world contains traveling merchants and nautical charts that let players reach otherwise inaccessible islands. Power Statues are scattered through the map and offer short challenges; freeing Power Wisps grants Power Wisp Fruits that can be traded at a Forest Goddess Statue to increase stamina and unlock abilities.

The story places the player in Bloomfield Village, where a mist from the Forest of Echoes coincides with unusual disasters, roaming beasts and a spreading darkness. Players meet recurring series characters such as the Harvest Goddess and Doc Jr., encounter Guardian Spirits, and investigate earthquakes, storms and other threats while managing a farm and community relationships.

Echoes of Teradea supports romance with 10 potential partners-five bachelors and five bachelorettes-each with linked heart events. The release will be cross-gen, with versions for both the original Switch and the new Switch 2 hardware, and pre-orders are being handled through Natsume’s site.
