Henderson: Rayman Legends Retold looks impressive

Tom Henderson, a leaker and video game journalist, wrote that Ubisoft’s Rayman Legends Retold “looks really impressive” and expects gameplay footage to appear during or just before Tuesday’s State of Play.

Henderson addressed online questions about why Ubisoft would remake a game that many players say still holds up visually. On social media he wrote: “I know there are a lot of folks wondering why Ubisoft remade Rayman Legends because it still holds up, but I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised tomorrow. It looks really impressive.”

Ubisoft has not confirmed when it will show gameplay. Henderson referred to the project by the name Rayman Legends Retold and linked the timing to Sony’s State of Play, saying footage could be part of the broadcast or appear immediately beforehand.

The original Rayman Legends launched in 2013 and has been reissued across platforms. Some players and commentators have questioned the need for a remake; Henderson’s comments emphasize visual and presentation upgrades and suggest the Retold edition may be more than a simple reissue.

Henderson has previously shared early information about unannounced games. If his timing is correct, gameplay clips could appear during Tuesday’s State of Play or in the hours before the broadcast, offering the first public look at Ubisoft’s changes.
