Hollowbody Coming to PS5 June 5, From Solo Dev

Solo developer Headware Games will release Hollowbody on PS5 on June 5; preorders start at $16.99 on the PlayStation Store, with 15% off for PS Plus members.

Hollowbody, a near-future survival horror from solo developer Headware Games, will launch on PlayStation 5 on June 5, 2026. Preorders open on the PlayStation Store at $16.99, with a 15% discount for PS Plus members. The PS5 release includes the base game plus all updates and improvements added to the PC edition since its 2024 release.

Players control an unlicensed black market shipper who must search a ruined British city for a partner after a hovercraft crash leaves them stranded inside an exclusion zone. The game emphasizes exploration, limited supplies and environmental puzzles.

Headware Games released Hollowbody on PC in 2024 and issued updates over the following 18 months that added new puzzles, extra locations and quality-of-life fixes. The PS5 build consolidates those changes into a single package.

Trailer footage for the PS5 announcement shows modern graphics combined with interaction prompts and framing used in older psychological horror titles. Camera angles are not fixed; the presentation mixes retro framing with updated visuals and controls.

No console-specific features have been announced beyond incorporating the PC updates. The June 5 release will be the first official PlayStation edition of Hollowbody.
