HorrorVale: Deadluxe Edition launches on PlayStation consoles

HorrorVale: Deadluxe Edition, a single-player zombie RPG, is now available for PS4 and PS5 through the PlayStation Store for $17.99.

HorrorVale: Deadluxe Edition was developed by BatWorks Software and published by Electric Airship. The game is now available on PS4 and PS5.

The RPG uses turn-based combat and horror elements. Players control Alice, who travels through the underworld to rescue her zombie dog, Scruffy, from monsters invading the town of HorrorVale.

The game offers about 60 hours of content, including a main story that takes about 25 hours to complete. Its setting includes zombie neighbors, reanimated mail carriers and ghosts hiding in homes. Players fight more than 500 enemies with different mechanics.

Alice can recruit more than 30 characters, each with distinct abilities and personalities. Their stories appear in 60 side quests. A shared experience system lets players switch party members without losing progress earned by other characters.

BatWorks Software updated the original PC version for consoles with improved visuals, revised artwork and additional battles. The console edition includes a 170-track soundtrack featuring music by Grant Kirkhope, known for his work on Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country.

HorrorVale: Deadluxe Edition launched on Steam in October 2024 and received a “Very Positive” user rating. It is also available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
